Owkay, a quick writting in the rainy sunday morning! Cold and cold, gloomy and gloomy is the day πŸ™‚

As i was craving for something mild yet warm, i went through some blogs looking for soup recipes. Then checking my fridge, almost nothing left as i haven’t do my weekly groceries shopping, so the fridge has not re-loaded yet. And rain! Another good reason to just stay at home πŸ™‚

Comparing these two corn soup recipes,

  1. Martha Stewart’s recipe http://www.marthastewart.com/904230/corn-soup
  2. Sajian sedap’s recipeΒ http://www.sajiansedap.com/recipe/detail/13309/sup-krim-jagung

but then, i went with my own mix and match of spices and inggredients πŸ˜€

  1. Fresh sweet corn (half to be blended and half to be peeled)
  2. Margarine
  3. Schalloten (onion and bombay)
  4. garlic
  5. bawang daun, slices
  6. pepper & parsley
  7. corn starch flour
  8. salam leaves
  9. stock blocks, dissolve with 500 ml water
My own version of inggredients and spices

My own version of inggredients and spices

and this is how i made it :

  1. blend half of the corn altogether with garlic and onion to a smooth pure
  2. heat the margarine, add chopped bombay schalloten and saute it
  3. add stock water and salam leaves, wait untill it boiled
  4. then add pepper, parsley, corn puree, corn starch flour, and peeled corn
  5. mix them altogether untill it become creamy. owh, no need to add salt since stock and margarine has already contain salt πŸ™‚

Well, i like my cream soup to be a li’l bit spicy, coz that’s make it different from cream soup for baby hehe πŸ˜€ and this is it, eat it with some prawn crackers :-9 Cream corn soup ala deary πŸ™‚

You can also freeze the soup and keep it for 2 or 3 days, and heat it up when you’re craving for something warm during this rainy days πŸ˜€

Wishing you all a bright blessed day (though it’s shower like hell and cold hehe), everyone !!
